EAT

Start your day out strong with a stop at European Delights Bakery for fresh made pastries or coffee or a specialty latte Coffee @ Oak & Main. Some favorite local spots to eat include the Homestretch Bar and Grill, The Barn at High Point, Copper River Grill, Dodd’s Corner Farmer’s Market and more.

TOUR

Enjoy a tour of Taylor Made Farm’s nursery division – home to mares and young horses. Your tour begins with a look at the story of Taylor Made Farm, which goes beyond horses to family roots, strong values, and second chances. You’ll then have a chance to walk through the grounds of the nursery division, where future champions spend their early days.

You’ll learn about how young horses are raised and have the opportunity to get hands-on with some of the horses who reside at Taylor Made. Elevate your experience with the grooming add-on, where you’ll learn how to groom (brush and care for) a broodmare!

The Taylor Made Mares & Foals tour is offered daily from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., year-round.

TOUR

After your tour of Taylor Made, take a short drive (8 miles // 15 minutes) to the Kentucky Equine Adoption Center, one of the largest all-breed equine adoption facilities in Kentucky. When visiting the Center, you’ll meet some of the adoptable horses and hear about how they prepare horses for a fresh start in their next chapter. Tours also include a demonstation of the training that takes place at the Center, which could be in-hand or under saddle. You’ll see equine training firsthand, and then have a chance to feed a horse or pony a treat!

Tours of the Kentucky Equine Adoption Center are offered six days a week (no Sunday tours) at 1:00 p.m., year-round.
