Get an inside look at this historic operation and learn more about the process of raising young Thoroughbred horses. Come and join us for a behind-the-scenes look at storied Pin Oak Stud, and meet some of the mares and foals that reside on the property. Your visit begins with a history of Pin Oak Stud, from its founding by the beloved Josephine Abercrombie to its current ownership by Jim and Dana Bernhard, who seek to honor the quality and tradition of Pin Oak while leading the operation into a new era. From there, the group will walk to the foaling barn and learn about the process of breeding, foaling and raising future racehorses. You will have the chance to visit with mares and their foals, who love to meet new friends and pose for photos! Along the tour, your guide will provide information about the care and management of horses and the land that is so important to their well-being. This tour will be a combination of walking and driving - based upon the location of the horses.
