Come visit the Secretariat Center and learn what it takes to transition a former racehorse to a new career.

Your tour will begin with an overview of the Secretariat Center and their mission of preparing off-track Thoroughbreds for happy, healthy, and successful post-track careers by through retraining and giving them a broad-based foundation of skills to ensure a harmonious match with their adopters. During the tour you will learn about the training program and why aftercare is so important to the Thoroughbred industry. Experience the magic as horses of the Secretariat Center demonstrate their versatility, athleticism, and trainability before your very eyes.

The tour is suitable for all ages, and photos are encouraged!

The Secretariat Center is located in the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky, the Horse Capital of the World. Our premier reschooling facility showcases adoptable Thoroughbreds. Founded in 2004, the Secretariat Center uses its illustrious location to herald the athleticism of this amazing breed by teaching new skill sets to horses of all levels of ability. We advocate for the athleticism and versatility of the Thoroughbred and provide educational opportunities through horsemanship.

Please be sure to make your booking prior to arriving at the farm.

We do our best to let fans meet their favorites however there are no guarantees that can be made for any horse on any particular tour.

Showings depend on the health and daily activities of our horses.

No pets are allowed on property.

Tours are conducted rain or shine, but inclement weather may affect riding and training demonstrations. In the case of severe weather, a cancellation may occur with a rain check or refund.

No weapons will be permitted on property.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellations for refunds or rescheduling tours (pending availability) require 48 hours’ notice prior to tour.

Service fees are always non-refundable.

If this tour is canceled by the Secretariat Center, your ticket will be fully refunded or rescheduled (pending availability).
