For an exclusive glimpse into the daily operations on the backside of a racetrack, this is the tour for you. This insider's tour takes you from the main track to the perimeter of barn 20 and everything in between! ON THE TOUR On this unique tour, participants will stroll around just outside the Keeneland's stable area, commonly known as the 'backstretch'. Among the possible activities you could see include a racehorse being bathed or a horse receiving new shoes. The tour will also make stops at the main track and training track, as well as the racing office and Sales Pavilion, when available. Please note, this tour requires walking over 1.5 miles, and standing on uneven terrain. Due to this, we do not recommend this experience for guests who utilize a wheelchair or walker. Guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Due to the proximity to horses on this tour, wheelchairs, walkers and strollers are not permitted. Guests must be able to briskly walk 1.5 miles on uneven terrain, grass, dirt, and potentially mud. No pets are allowed on property. Service dogs are permitted but not within eyesight of horses. Tours are conducted rain or shine; in the case of severe weather, a cancellation may occur for a full refund. No weapons will be permitted on property.
