BEST FOR All Ages + Kid-Friendly, curious, casual, and committed fans welcome ON THE TOUR This is a shuttle tour, but you will be walking & standing during the tour too For the first time ever, the beautiful Gainsborough Farm in Versailles, Kentucky is open to visitors! Gainsborough is a nursery division of Godolphin, the international thoroughbred breeding and racing operation founded by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai. To begin the tour, you will learn about the history of Gainsborough Farm as well as the global scope of HH Sheikh Mohammed’s international thoroughbred operations. From there you will climb aboard an electric shuttle for a scenic drive through the farm with stops along the way to meet our broodmares and learn about their racing and breeding careers. These mares love to pose for photos and meet new people! Depending on the time of year, you will also get to meet new foals, weanlings, and/or yearlings. Among the mares that guests may see on a visit to Gainsborough Farm are Breeders' Cup champions ROUND POND and ASHADO, as well as DANCE CARD (dam of Cody's Wish), DELIGHTFUL QUALITY (dam of Essential Quality) and VELVETY (dam of Maxfield).
