Come visit the stallion complex at Jonabell Farm in Lexington, Kentucky, and learn all about the thoroughbred breeding business! Jonabell is the American headquarters for the Godolphin thoroughbred breeding and racing operation and is the home of the Darley stallions in America.
The tour begins at the farm office where you will visit the trophy room and learn about the history of Jonabell as well as the global scope of HH Sheikh Mohammed’s international thoroughbred operations. The tour will then head outside for a walking tour of the stallion complex to see the champion stallions in their paddocks (please wear comfortable shoes!). You will learn about the stallions' race careers, progeny and daily routines while viewing the horses enjoying their time outside. The tour will also walk through the breeding shed and visit the gravesite of 1978 Triple Crown winner AFFIRMED.
Among the stallions that guests may see on a visit to Jonabell Farm are two-time Breeders' Cup winner and Horse of the Year CODY'S WISH, Kentucky Derby winners NYQUIST and STREET SENSE, Belmont Stakes winner ESSENTIAL QUALITY, multiple G1 winners FROSTED and MAXFIELD, and perennial leading sire MEDAGLIA D’ORO.
We are unable to allow petting or feeding of the stallions during the tour.

ABOUT DARLEY & GODOLPHIN
Learn more about Godolphin on their website, through their Trip Advisor Page, or by visiting their social media pages: Facebook | Instagram | Twitter
Godolphin is the international thoroughbred breeding and racing operation founded by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai. Godolphin is one of the largest Thoroughbred breeding and racing operations in the world, and has bases in Dubai, England, Ireland, France, Australia, Japan and the United States.
Darley is the stallion arm of Godolphin, and stands Thoroughbred stallions in six countries around the world, with an American base at Jonabell Farm in Lexington, Kentucky.
Godolphin and Darley were born out of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed’s love for horses that began as a young man, when he and his friend rode bareback races on the sands of Dubai’s Jumeirah Beach. Today, Team Godolphin is one of the leading breeding and racing stables in the world, and has won some of the most prestigious races including the Dubai World Cup, a dozen individual Breeders’ Cup races, the Belmont Stakes, Epsom Derby and more.
Every modern Thoroughbred traces its beginnings to Arabia and the three foundation Arabian stallions that came from East to West - the Godolphin Arabian, Darley Arabian and Byerly Turk.
