Spendthrift’s colorful founder, the larger than life Leslie Combs, was known for both entertaining celebrity guests and revolutionizing the thoroughbred industry. Upon arrival to the farm, you are welcomed by two stone eagles guarding the front gates and through a beautiful tree-lined drive surrounded by lush Kentucky Bluegrass paddocks leading up to the B. Wayne Hughes Visitor Center. Enjoy learning about the past champions of Thoroughbred racing, while visiting with the current stars.
