Join us for a fun morning of wreath making at Denali Stud with Wilson Plant Co. on Saturday, December 20 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.!

We’ll begin the evening with a short stroll through the farm to see some of the resident mares. After the tour, you’ll create a hand-built holiday wreath as big as you can imagine using fresh-cut evergreens, a distinctive collection of berries & pine cones, & finish with a hand-tied bow for your own unique holiday wreath. bring a friend, let your creative juices flow, and enjoy some quality time & creativity together.

Tickets include all wreath making materials, instruction by Wilson Plant Co., light refreshments and a short tour of Denali Stud.

Join us for a fun afternoon of candles & champion stallions at Lane’s End Farm in Versailles! You’ll take a tour of this famous horse farm before creating your own custom candle with Wick & Mortar Studio.

We’ll begin the evening with a stroll through the stallion barns and meet champion studs like Flightline. After the tour, Wick & Mortar Studio will guide a candle making experience.

You’ll have everything needed to craft a beautiful, personalized candle:

  • 8 oz Travel Tin Candle: Each guest will create an 8 oz candle in their choice of a stylish gold or black travel tin, offering an impressive 50-hour burn time.
  • Premium Ingredients: We use only clean-burning, non-toxic, luxury coconut wax for a superior candle.
  • Eco-Friendly Wicks: Our crackling cedar wicks are sustainably sourced from FSC-certified mills, ensuring an eco-conscious product.

Santa & Stallions at Lane’s End Farm

Sunday, December 14 | 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.

Santa is stopping in the Bluegrass to see if there are any Thoroughbreds who might make a good addition to his sleigh team for Christmas Eve!

He’s going to make a stop at Lane’s End Farm in Horse Country, and we’d love to have you join us. This experience will include photos with Santa, a hot cocoa bar and holiday crafts for the kiddos, along with a short tour to meet some of the Lane’s End Farm stallions.

Children under 18 are required to be accompanied by an adult. Best for families who want to get into the holiday spirit at a famed Kentucky stallion farm.

Your Experience Includes:

  • A digital copy of a photo of you and your guest(s) with Santa
  • A hot cocoa bar
  • Participate in holiday themed crafts

Photos will be emailed a few days after the tour.

Ornament Painting with Kayla Weber Nord at Denali Stud

Thursday, December 4 | 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Best for guests who want to get into the holiday spirit with a painting workshop hosted by famed Kentucky artist Kayla Weber Nord!

This one of a kind experience includes a short tour of Denali Stud’s picturesque nursery farm, before a painting workshop with Kayla Weber Nord. She will provide her expert guidance as guests learn to paint a custom Christmas ornament.

The farm tour will begin at 5pm, followed by the painting workshop, which will conclude by about 8pm. Light refreshments and snacks will be provided. 

Your Experience Includes:

  • A short farm tour of Denali Stud
  • A painting workshop with Kayla Weber Nord
  • Take home your own custom Christmas ornament

Christmas on the Farm at BraveHearts Equine Center

Saturday, December 6 | 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Get ready to jingle all the way to a heartwarming holiday tradition as BraveHearts Equine Center opens its doors to host their second Annual Christmas on the Farm. This family-friendly event combines the magic of the holiday season with the mission of giving back, benefitting BraveHearts Equine Center, a nonprofit dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming draft horses in need.

We will also be accepting new, unwrapped toys and winter wear for children aged 0-5 who might not otherwise receive a present under the tree this holiday season. The toy drive will benefit The Nest during their upcoming Reindeer Express gift-giving event.

This merry event will take place rain or shine, so please dress accordingly. Photos with Santa will take place in our cozy, festive barn. In case of inclement weather, additional activities will move indoors. For safety, hayrides will not operate during lightning, and guests are advised to wear closed-toed shoes due to the farm terrain. Please note, all walkways are gravel and may limit wheelchair accessibility.

Holiday Hay-Ride at Chestnut Hall Farm

Saturday, December 6 | 12 p.m. – 3 p.m.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, December 6, 2025 (with a rain date of December 7), and join us at Chestnut Hall Farm in Prospect, Kentucky, for a festive afternoon filled with holiday cheer and heartwarming encounters with our retired racehorses. This seasonal celebration is the perfect way to kick off the holidays with family and friends while supporting a meaningful cause.

Set on the beautiful grounds of Chestnut Hall, guests will enjoy a scenic hayride through the rolling pastures, where you’ll meet, pet, and feed treats to the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation’s beloved herd. Along the way, take in the sounds of holiday music, sip warm cider or hot chocolate, and capture unforgettable memories with Santa and the horses themselves. This is an outdoor farm event. Please dress warmly, wear close-toed shoes, and be prepared for a fun-filled day outside with the horses. Come for the holiday magic, stay for the horses. Together, we’ll celebrate the season and support a dignified future for retired Thoroughbred racehorses.

Celebrate the season where holiday magic meets horse rescue!

This event is perfect for anyone who loves horses—or just wants to experience the peace and beauty of the Bluegrass in the holiday season. You’ll have the chance to meet adoptable horses of all breeds, learn about their care, rehabilitation, and retraining, and maybe even give a horse a peppermint.

The afternoon includes:

  • Visits and photos with Santa
  • Meet & greets with our adoptable horses
  • Hay rides through our scenic 72-acre farm
  • Kids’ games and crafts
  • Holiday refreshments
  • A festive tack sale for riders and horse lovers
  • Raffle prizes and exclusive items in the Pony Up Gift Shop—perfect for your holiday shopping!

Every ticket supports the Kentucky Equine Adoption Center’s mission to provide rescue, rehabilitation, and second chances for horses in need. Your holiday outing helps real horses find their way home.
