ABOUT DIAMOND A FARM
The storied history of Diamond A Farm began with Colonel E.H. Taylor, known as the Father of the Modern Bourbon Industry. The farm eventually transitioned into the care of Allen E. Paulson as Brookside Farm, home to racing legends like Theatrical (IRE), Cigar, Azeri and more. The name ‘Diamond A’ was coined when Gerald J. Ford purchased the property as the home of his Diamond A Racing operation, which had a hand in top racehorses such as Pleasantly Perfect, Dixie Union, Paynter, Devil May Care and more.
Today, Diamond A Farm is managed under joint stewardship by Taylor Made Farm and Matt Hogan Stables – bringing the Taylor family back to this land nearly 100 years after Colonel E.H. Taylor operated the farm. Diamond A is home to mares, foals and yearlings – a special opportunity to meet the next generation of champions.
Located conveniently to major bourbon distillieries, including Castle & Key and Woodford Reserve, along with other top horse farms.
ABOUT TAYLOR MADE FARM
Inspired by their founding father, “Daddy Joe,” Taylor Made Farm was established in 1976 by Duncan Taylor and his friend Mike Shannon, along with Duncan’s brothers Ben, Frank, and Mark. Still family-owned and operated, what began as a small boarding farm has now expanded to nearly 1,100 acres of beautiful rolling hills. Today, Taylor Made Farm is home to 10 stallions including World Leading stallion NOT THIS TIME, Kentucky Oaks and Breeders’ Cup winners, Graded Stakes champions, future racing stars, and a thriving community of mares, foals, & yearlings.
Aside from the beautiful farm, Taylor Made is best known as the worldwide leader in Thoroughbred Sales in North America. With over $3 billion in horses sold, they have raised and sold more than 135 Grade 1 winners, including 2015 Triple Crown winner American Pharoah. Notable sales include Havre de Grace, sold for $10 million, and Songbird, sold for $9.5 million, making Taylor Made a dominant force in the industry.
