Regardless of their competitive discipline and lifestyle, all horses deserve the same world-class equine veterinary care. From assistance delivering a foal in the field to the most precise medical attention at the main-campus facility, they have provided the best care possible for nearly 150 years.
Centrally located in the heart of Horse Country, the practices’ state-of-the-art facility sits on over 110 acres and is directly across from the Kentucky Horse Park. The walking tour, lasting an hour and a half long, guides you through Hagyard’s history and the day-to-day operations of a fully functioning equine hospital including the Davidson Surgery Center and McGee Medicine Center.
Due to the potential graphic and sensitive nature of live surgery and medical procedures, this tour is limited to guests aged 10 years and older. This limitation is in place to protect staff, horses and guests.
This is a one-mile walking tour of the Hagyard campus. Please wear appropriate footwear for walking long stretches of time. As an operating veterinary hospital. Emergency situations may arise that limit areas of the hospital that can be seen.
