With more than 140 years of dedication to the well-being of the horse, Hagyard has more than 50 veterinarians and a knowledgeable staff to assist in the health of some of the most famous racehorses throughout history.

 

LUNCH – WALLACE STATION 12:00noon
Wind through Horse Country to the most popular of Ouita Michel’s family of restaurants, Wallace Station, a scenic stop for lunch in the Bluegrass. Known for locally sourced ingredients, the Wallace Station menu serves up homemade sandwiches, soups, salads and delicious treats.

 

COOLMORE AT ASHFORD STUD 2:30pm-3:30pm
Historic stone buildings and the-stuff-fairytales-are-made-of landscaping surround the elegant barns and rich roster of stallions (Uncle Mo!) at this American operation of Ireland-based Coolmore.

 

SATURDAY

 

TAYLOR MADE FARM 10:30am – 12noon
Just south of Lexington in the rolling hills of Horse Country sits family-owned Taylor Made Farm. The world’s leading Thoroughbred Consignment Agency, the farm offers a tour of their 1,600 acres – including the stallion complex, yearling division, and more.

LUNCH AT DADDY JOE’S
After your tour of Taylor Made Farm, enjoy a delicious lunch at their Visitor Center, home of Daddy Joe’s Bar and Grille.

 

SUNDAY

 

CLAIBORNE 10am – 11am
A leader in the Thoroughbred farm industry for generations, Claiborne is famously home to the grave of Secretariat, widely believed to be one of the best racehorses of all time.Steeped in history and a commitment to ‘doing the usual, unusually well’, Claiborne is home to top stallions Runhappy, Orb, and War Front.
